The ski resort of Megeve, is one of pioneers in mountain architecture thanks to the famous architect Henry Jacques Le Même who invented the alpine chalet. Arriving in 1925 in Megève, Henry Jacques le Même realizes for the Baroness Noémie de Rothschild this first alpine chalet. For her, he invented a chalet like farms but with a very comfortable interior, with large windows on the landscape, a real fireplace, a ski room, upstairs bedrooms, and downstairs for the domestic, the Alpine chalet was born. During this period he produced over two hundred alpine chalets in Megève and surroundings.
